About & Biography

Amanda Wakeley is the Founder and Creative Director of her eponymous brand, launched in 1990. Over the last two decades Amanda has infused her own distinct, timeless style on her acclaimed ready-to-wear collections, which are at once understated yet supremely glamorous.

Educated at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Amanda discovered her passion for fashion early on. Following a stint as a fashion model in New York in the 1980’s, she launched her signature line in 1990, opening a small studio and boutique in the heart of Chelsea, London. Soon she was a favorite of London’s most stylish women.

Since 1996, Amanda has co-chaired the committee for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer appeal leading the efforts to raise substantial funds to support the charity.
