Last month we welcomed a small selection of fashion bloggers to the flagship store in South Kensington to enjoy an intimate evening with Amanda, where they learnt about the heritage of her brand and had a preview of the new AW’12 collection before it drops into stores later this month.
We started the evening with pink champagne and mini cupcakes and macarons, while our bloggers mingled with each other and Amanda, before sitting down to listen to Amanda recount her fascinating journey with the brand over the last 22 years. Amanda then presented some of the key pieces from the Amanda Wakeley AW’12 collection, discussing her inspirations for the collection as a whole and picking out her favourite pieces and how she created them, such as the Pre-Fall’12 Stretch Tux Full Skirted Dress and the recently launched Evil Eye Symbol Scarf.
Since the event, our new blogger friends like American Girl in Chelsea and Fashion Mommy have been telling their followers how much they enjoyed the evening and have been giving them an insight into Amanda’s world.
