The Pre-Fall’12 collection is full of sumptuous colours and fabrics to really indulge in. Inspired by historical under garments and armoury, there is a strong element of body contouring in Jersey pieces, while graphic panelling and contemporary linear beading also play a strong part.
A look at vintage couture largely influenced the silhouette, seaming and details among the collection. The complex internal structure of vintage toiles is loosely executed in details such as the curve drape that features in many of the key pieces of the season, notably the Wool Jersey Asymmetric Drape Dress and Crepe Jersey Asymmetric Short Dress, as modeled below.
The colour palette of the season is superbly rich. Warm shades of Grape and Pomegranate are mixed with subtle Smoke and Nude, while Tsavorite adds a fantastic pop to the collection.
