The catwalk is set up, and our photographer, Ian, takes some test shots. The Amanda Wakeley team compile a running order for the day and assemble each of the model’s first looks. We all help ourselves to a much appreciated cup of coffee to ease us into the day…

Models Hope and Rachel are prepped and pampered for the day by make-up artist Kenneth who gives us all some beauty secrets and shares his recommended top products. For this shoot, we recreated the natural, minimal make-up look of the AW ‘10 catwalk show, and styled the hair so that it fell in luscious waves….

On a roll, the girls change into look after look for their still photographs and catwalk videos (they’re pictured below in their favourite pieces). Hope (left) wears the Short Side Ruched Dress in Black and Rachel (right) wears the Japanese Fluid Twisted Strap Dress in Pansy, both of which are praised for their beautiful fit and feel.

This week, we pulled on our party shoes and hosted some private events for some of our most loyal, long-standing customers as well as introducing some new customer from across the pond.

On Tuesday we partied into the small hours with the YPO, USA in The Glade Room at Sketch, Conduit Street. The U.S. guests were greeted with cocktails and canapees, and entertained by a movie show-reel of Britain’s best (and worst!) historic moments from the British fashion archives.

As Amanda arrived to meet and greet her guests, her spectacular SS10 runway video from this year’s London Fashion Week was projected around the room and provided the backdrop to the drinks and dancing that followed.

Throughout the evening our Amanda Wakeley models, Steph and Orla (below), modelled an array of AW09 day and eveningwear pieces, including the show-stopping, floor-length Micro Sequin Embellished Cross-back Dress (pictured). All the while Bridget, our Private Client Manager, dazzled our guests with her diamonds from the Amanda Wakeley Jewel range (2 cocktail rings, one pair of Lariat Stud Earrings and one deliciously long Baguette Diamond Necklace to be exact!).

On Wednesday the vibe was a little more low-key, when Amanda entertained a few VIP customers and friends at 175 Fulham Road to celebrate the opening of our beautiful, brand new flagship store. The guests sipped champagne whilst browsing and trying on their favourite pieces from the collection with Amanda Wakeley herself there to style them.
