The 5th annual awards gala saw judges including Hilary Alexander, Paula Reed (Style Director, Grazia), Brian Duffy (President of Ralph Lauren Europe) and of course Amanda Wakeley gather together to judge the hottest rising talent in Scotland.  Celebrating Cool Caledonia!

Holly Fulton took the title of Young Designer of the Year and is officially a name to watch in the future.  Holly has also just been awarded catwalk show sponsorship by the NEWGEN panel so we will eagerly await her next collection.

The Wedding Planner by Amanda Wakeley offers the discerning bride a comprehensive and beautifully designed online destination (as a bespoke, sign-in style website) and on the move (an iPhone App) to help her organise every element of her wedding in one place.  The bride can manage her guest list, plan her bridal calendar and keep track of her budget.  We have also teamed up with Amanda’s favourite bridal brands (Asprey, English Heritage, Gieves & Hawkes, Mason Rose, Myla, Smythson and Urban Caprice) to help plan every element for the big day in style.

The Calendar…

This enables the bride to create appointments to keep track of all her commitments. The share feature enables her chosen family, friends and wedding party to be alerted to key dates in the planning process.

The Budget Calculator…

The Budget Calculator is key to any wedding planning process and gives the bride a central place to store all her quotes, wedding costs and to provide a full overview of where the budget is and what payments have been made. The calculator is set up to allow the bride to add costs to her budget, add reminders to payments due… the list goes on.

GuestList

Brides can manage their entire wedding guestlist from this section of the Wedding Planner.  They can either add in each guest manually, or they can upload a pre existing spreadsheet to populate the Guestlist section.  Guests are managed by groups (Guest/Bridesmaid/Wedding Party etc). If the Bride sets certain visibility levels to each group, ie Bridesmaid, those guests can log into the planner and access certain information about the Brides wedding – dress choices, calendar dates, etc. The bride can also send their guests online invites from the Guestlist section, the guests can then log in themselves to find out specific details about the Bride’s wedding – the location, date, directions, etc.

The relating iPhone app will replicate the website exactly and can either be used on its own or as an ‘on the move’ partner to the website.  It will replicate all of the information and documentation the bride has gathered on the website but can handily be accessed ‘on the go’, for example at appointments and fittings.
