WWD – A/W 2011 Review

“This sophisticated collection was filled with skinny silhouettes, piles of fur and a dash of sparkle. Coats ranged from long camel or black numbers with dramatic, angular lapels to luxurious black fur chubbies to slim jackets with leather panels. Silk dresses were gently draped around the neck and waist, while body-hugging belted sweater dresses were made even cozier with fat fur scarves that hung well below the waist. Although this collection was filled with clean lines, Wakeley added a sprinkling of coppery sequins to a wrap skirt and a bright orange evening gown.

This collection was Wakeley at her polished best.”
