Crisp white linen shouts summer to me… it probably has to be the best fabric to wear in the heat… it’s light… breathable… and cool.
I know I am always talking about those beautiful Elevated Staples that will become our FOREVER pieces… those pieces you will reach for again and again… that have longevity beyond one season… those pieces that will never let you down… those gorgeous pieces that a friend will ask you where its from 5 years later only to slightly enviously realise its vintage, yet it’s timeless and now has a precious rarity…
My two “must have” linen wardrobe staples this summer have a luxuriously bohemian vibe (if we cant be bohemian in summer than when can we?)… crafted in a glorious linen voile with a  subtle sheerness that somehow heralds summer…
One is an easy breezy oversized linen top that Iooks equally good with a skinny cropped pant to take you from city to beach as it does worn with shorts over a bikini when you arrive at said beach for lunch… just dreaming right now…and in the meantime I am perfectly happy to be wearing mine for a barbeque in the garden…
My second linen wardrobe staple is an ankle skimming tunic dress which I will wear on a hot day in the city over our viscose weave pants… either skinny or wide leg depending on my mood… and it will instantly become my kaftan of choice in a more relaxed/holiday setting… hopefully over a bikini…
pssst...Remember one thing, more than any other fabric, linen loves to wrinkle... but to be honest, those very wrinkles make up some of the charm of wearing linen clothing… relax… it’s summertime
As I log off this evening I will enjoy my nightly ritual… striking a match and lighting our Linen scented candle signifying the end of the working day and the beginning of chill time with gentle notes of mandarin, citrus and basil…mmmm…
Stay safe and stay well
Sending love
