How many times do I get asked – what are your Lockdown wardrobe essentials? Well here they are and this is why they have been my morning and evening Go Tos… all of them Wakeley obviously…

The camel viscose twill utility pant – is  the base of my Lockdown Wardrobe - I love this relaxed utility style pant…its easy fit means its super comfortable and looks great with any number of tops from a simple white T-shirt (looking forward to it being warm enough again ) to our cashmere and satin hoodie (this is such a great piece) to my absolute have to have… our chunky camel cashmere crewneck (it’s a hug of a sweater) Secret…if you don’t layer your cashmere you would be amazed how trans seasonal even the chunkiest of pieces can be over bare skin (but the minute you even put a tank on underneath your temperature will rise ) …then a quick top change to the camel and black garter sleeve cashmere takes the whole look to a more sexy sports luxe place… topped off by my favourite camel leather trench and the Jumbo Jackman python tote (which could honestly double as an overnight bag its so roomy) and I am done… country to city and back again…
Talking city…I wanted to let you know about the changes we have made to ensure that the Wakeley experience you know remains the same for you in our Mayfair home which re-opens on Monday 15th June…we have been having fun making it as gorgeous as possible with all the new Summer deliveries and every area of the store has been thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitized.
We are opening with reduced hours… To ensure that our staff travel outside of peak times, so the store will be open from 11am to 4.00pm.
If you would like to make an appointment outside of these hours please contact albemarle@amandawakeley.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Social Distancing is the new norm… and so the store has been assessed for its size and layout to allow for customers and staff to safely socially distance. A reduced number of fitting  rooms will be in use to allow for these protocols to be followed.
The store and fitting rooms will be fully cleaned after every use and any unwanted stock will be quarantined for 72hrs or steamed before being placed back on the floor. Complimentary masks will be available to you, along with hand-sanitizer and gloves. Should you request it, our sales team will wear a mask and gloves during your visit to store.
However, if you are not yet ready to visit us in store have you considered Virtual Styling? It’s fun and you can still enjoy shopping with personal advice from our experts at home . We are offering Zoom calls and style consultations with our store teams, available on an appointment basis. To book, just email Alex at abg@amandawakeley.com and for Bridal appointments email Samara at bridal@amandawakeley.com, alternatively do feel free to call the store on 0203 691 2982, or Customer Care on 0203 384 6670, where the team will be happy to chat.
So this weeks Chocoholic recipe is a little healthier as it’s from my brilliant friend and nutritionist Rose Ferguson… these  chocolate chip cookies will definitely be my weekend indulgence…

Rose’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS

* 80g almond flour

* 70g gluten free oats

* 20g finely shredded (desiccated) unsweetened coconut

* 70g organic coconut sugar

* 1/2tbsp ground chia seeds

* 1 bar of raw chocolate into rough chunks

* 60ml aquafaba (the brine/liquid in a can of chickpeas)

* 2tbsp natural peanut butter

* 3tbsp coconut oil

METHOD

* In a large mixing bowl combine the ground almonds, oats, desiccated coconut, coconut sugar and ground chia seeds

* In a separate bowl whisk the aquafaba until light and frothy then add the peanut butter and coconut oil, continue to whisk until fully incorporated.

* Add the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until fully combined

* The mixture should be slightly wet and sticky so refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before baking

* Preheat the oven to 175-180C

* Roll out 10 equal balls then press down gently with a fork on a baking tray.

* Push your chocolate chunks into the top gently.

* Bake the cookies for 10 minutes then leave to cool on the baking tray.

*  The key to these cookies is to cook them at a high temperature so the outside crisps while the inside remains soft and chewy.

In the meantime I hope you are staying safe and well
Sending love
