CONCESSION MANAGER - HARVEY NICHOLS EDINBURGH (Full Time)

We are looking to recruit an experienced customer service focused manager for our concession opening in Harvey Nichols Edinburgh.

The role of the Concession manager is to lead the team to achieve store goals by maximising store productivity and profitability through team building and staff development. The Concession manager leads by example and sets the tone of the department.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in Luxury retail sector, either as an established concession manager seeking a new challenge or a Supervisor/ASM looking for the next step
  • Take ownership and accountability of concessions productivity, through driving KPIs and CRM
  • Consistently and effectively execute company training programs and procedures
  • Effectively manage team to build relationships with customers
  • Deliver accurate and timely feedback to appropriate members of head office team
  • Be responsible for stock loss
  • Ensure the team understand the company visons and values
  • Work in partnership with Harvey Nichols staff and management team
  • Be responsible for staff scheduling, payroll and staff development
  • Inspire the team to meet and exceed company expectations

The position will be for 40 hrs, 5 x 8 hr days.

SALE CONSULTANT - HARVEY NICHOLS EDINBURGH (Part Time)

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Sales Consultant for our concession in the Edinburgh Harvey Nichols.

Your role will be to support the concession manager with the daily running of the concession with a view to delivering exceptional customer service and maximising productivity. Previous experience in luxury retail is preferable and a passion for the brand and a strong understanding of excellent customer service is key.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate company standards across the store
  • Liaise and build relationships with customers
  • Be an ambassador for the brand at all times

Job requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player and also be able to self-motivate
  • Being commercially aware with a view to increasing KPI’s
  • Maximising all sales at every opportunity to ensure you are meeting and exceeding your personal and store targets.
  • To ensure visual presentation, store maintenance and housekeeping is kept to the company's desired standard, both on and off the shop floor

This position will be part time, 21 hours, 3 x 7 hour days.

HEAD OF BUYING & MERCHANDISING (12 MONTHS MATERNITY COVER)

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time (12 months) Head of Buying & Merchandising this position will be for 40 hours, 5 days a week for a maternity cover of 12 months.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop annual and seasonal product strategies based on analysis, insight and lessons learnt which lead to a commercial range plan 
  • Work collaboratively with Design and Production & Technical to plan, develop and implement range and merchandise plans in line with the business and customer strategy to deliver commerciality 
  • Analyse and report on sales, margin and stock data, to inform key business stakeholders and recommend commercial actions 
  • Drive the growth of the business through international expansion, creating capsule collections for International markets. Oversee distribution of the wholesale product internationally 
  • Accountability and ownership to develop and drive the made for outlet strategy, product range and collections 
  • Work with licensee partners to range, develop, buy and merchandise commercially viable ranges 
  • Maximise sales, margin and sell-through across all channels through current and future collections, stock management, allocation, in season trading and clearance strategies 
  • Develop the price architecture for collections, licenced product, made for outlet and QVC 
  • Deliver the critical path to ensure product is delivered on time to stores and online 
  • Potentialise and manage the OTB to deliver budgeted turnover, sell through and margin 
  • In conjunction with Design, deliver training on product and merchandising guidelines to develop our teams (retail, wholesale and Ecom) knowledge and sales capability 
  • Intimately understand our customer and their needs and buy collections that reflect the brand strategy whilst being commercially sound 
  • Work cross functionally to represent the voice of the customer in all channels 
  • Create and manage the seasonal financial framework, including OTB, sales targets and phasing for all channels, in consultation with Finance 
  • Manage the relationship between the cost and selling price of a product to deliver our affordable luxury proposition, budgeted margin and sales growth 
  • Accountable for stocktake results 
  • Warehouse management 
  • Review economic and social trends, questioning their impact on the Brand and making recommendations 
  • Manage and deliver budgets and KPIs as per job dimensions 
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Buying and Merchandising team, motivating them to deliver results 
  • Own visual merchandising for retail and work with Digital to ensure the Creative Director’s vision is translated in store and online, taking into account both the commercial needs of the business and the psychology of the customer 
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by your line Manager
