HR ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

Summary of the Role

The HR Assistant is a new role created to support the business with its people agenda.  The overall purpose of the role is to manage payroll, pension and HR administration, be the first point of contact for employees and candidates, ensure all policies are up to date and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.

Detailed Description of Role

Payroll and pension administration

- Manage month end payroll for about 60 monthly paid staff (including about 30 staff on retail rotas, some of whom are paid at an hourly rate).  Liaise with ADP (outsourced payroll partner) regarding any changes to the monthly payroll, address queries raised by staff and oversee compliance. 

- Complete P11d submissions, administer Clothing allowance, and maintain payroll contracts and related documentation.

- Manage enrolment/ postponement of new members of staff to the company automatic enrolment scheme, administered by Aviva.

- Produce payroll variance analyses using ADP reports

Recruitment

- Place job vacancies, manage and track candidate response

- Complete all recruitment and offer admin accurately

- Deal with recruitment queries in a professional manner, acting as the first point of contact for candidates

- Ensure new starters have an induction into the business

Performance and Development 

- Ensure managers and employees understand and follow the Performance process 

- Collate, track and monitor performance within the business and update systems 

- Actively contribute to and support any capability discussions

Employee Relations

- Handle HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements

- Support the business with disciplinaries and grievances

- Carry out policies and procedures in a confidential and sensitive manner

- Manage absence and track absence figures for the business quarterly 

- Update and maintain relevant Personnel records and databases

General HR administration

- Monitor, review and update all HR policies, ensuring these are in line with the current legislation

- Ensure HR systems and records are accurate and up to date

- Provide accurate and up to date data to the business of all HR matters

- Collate Exit Interviews for analysis

- Audit Personnel Files bi-annually

- Ensure all offer letters and contracts of employment are accurate and sent out on time

- Support the business to comply with GDPR for HR

Key Skills and competencies 

- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification.
- Good knowledge and practical application of Employee legislation
- Understanding of GDPR legislation with the ability to work within legislation
- Exemplary administration skills
- Ability to build good relationships and build trust quickly
- Good communication skills – approachable and confidential
- Ability to prioritise and meet the demands thrown on a small team in a growing business
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience with ADP and EZLM would be an advantage.

PART TIME SALES CONSULTANT (HARVEY NICHOLS EDINBURGH)

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Sales Consultant for our concession in the Edinburgh Harvey Nichols. 

Your role will be to support the concession manager with the daily running of the concession with a view to delivering exceptional customer service and maximising productivity. Previous experience in luxury retail is preferable and a passion for the brand and a strong understanding of excellent customer service is key.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Communicate company standards across the store
- Liaise and build relationships with customers
- Be an ambassador for the brand at all times

Job requirements:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be a team player and also be able to self-motivate
- Being commercially aware with a view to increasing KPI’s
- Maximising all sales at every opportunity to ensure you are meeting and exceeding your personal and store targets.
- To ensure visual presentation, store maintenance and housekeeping is kept to the company's desired standard, both on and off the shop floor
- Adhere to host store policies and procedures

This position will be part time, 21 hours, 3 x 7 hour days.

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Sales Consultant for our concession in Harvey Nichols Manchester . 

Your role will be to support the concession manager with the daily running of the concession with a view to delivering exceptional customer service and maximising productivity. Previous experience in luxury retail is preferable and a passion for the brand and a strong understanding of excellent customer service is key.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Communicate company standards across the store
- Liaise and build relationships with customers
- Be an ambassador for the brand at all times

Job requirements:

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Sales Assistant for our concession at Harvey Nichols London. This position will be for 40 hours, 5 days a week.

Your role will be to support the concession manager with the daily running of the concession with a view to delivering exceptional customer service and maximising productivity. 5 years of previous experience in luxury retail is needed and passion for the brand and a strong understanding of excellent customer service is key.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Communicate company standards across the store
- Liaise and build relationships with customers
- Be an ambassador for the brand at all times

Job requirements:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be a team player and also be able to self-motivate
- Maximizing all sales at every opportunity to ensure you are meeting and exceeding your personal and store targets.
